Ill take that as a compliment. We downsized from a 41' Dynasty that I loved, but was too constraining for the type of traveling we want to do. The NewAire is probably as good as you'll get for its size and features, but it was quite an adjustment notheless.
FYI: I recently spotted a 2002 Newaire for sale on RV Trader. Some styling differences with the 2001, and they made a lot of standard features 'optional' in 2002.
If you google this, ptl door latch adjustment, this will give you what I did. Please note the first part is not necessary to take the bolt loose. Hope this works for you
