i pick it up on Wednesday. When I get there I will ask them for the part # and forward it to you. I wish I was staying warm! We go hit with a small snow storm last night and its suppose to drop down to about 8 degrees tonight. A good night for a nice fire in the fireplace.
I don't think they could be that much money and at least I will have piece of mind that 1) I have a replacement, 2) I don't have to worry about them matching the material at a later date. 3) I can use the one that is on there until it is worn out and replace it easily without getting the dealer involved or the warranty not covering it after the first year although I'm going to push to have them warranty the sofa longer. Let me know what fleetwood and flex steel have to say.
Received some good news yesterday! Took the MH in for the warranty work. They showed me the replacement material for the sofa and the back part we are both having problems with comes as a complete piece, it is pre-sewn and looks like it just slips over the frame! Even though it seems fleetwood is going to continue to repair it, Im going to order 2 more of these pieces and store them away, that way I can replace them down the road when they get too shabby looking. They velcro at the bottom.
I really like the fact that Fleetwood seems to use top notch components like the magnum inverter ect. They even line all the shelves with carpet and it is so quiet going down the road and drives like a dream. Does your main slide seem to move really slow when you are bringing it back in?
We have put almost 3000 miles on it and other than the few things we had go wrong, we are really happy! We have had one toy hauler and a super C before this and compared to are Gulf Stream this coach is top notch. If I told you the stories about that hunk of junk you wouldn't believe me. literally had the curb side wall falling off! You could watch the pavement go by. The gap between the wall and floor was a good three inches.
I really don't want to have this beautiful coach that I love with some torn up sofa. The reason we bought it was the floor plan. I love the "living area with the L and the fireplace/entertainment area. we originally were going to take a different coach (same model) but noticed that sofa had a tear so we took this one and now the same thing.
I too have a problem with the sofa and it really bothers me. the L portion keeps chaffing and has 20 or 30 small tears. I am taking it in today to have the kick panel of the l portion replaced but while that was on order the whole back of the l has developed small tears. Obviously flex steel has a design problem. I contacted fleetwood about a long term warranty on this and they kind of threw it back in the dealers lap
I love it! such a quiet ride compared to our super c. We had a couple minor issues that the dealer took care of. Fuel pump on gen went out right away, I guess onan had a bad batch from what I've read around the internet. The fridge wouldn't run on lp and that was just a minor adjustment. Couple other minor adjustments but nowhere near a punch list like our gulf stream had. The one concern I do have is the pullout L section of the sofa. There must be something inside the main sofa that is catching on the L portion when we slide it out or put it away and it is tearing the ultra leather in a whole bunch of spots. Fleetwood agreed to replace part of the upholstery but while waiting for that to come in it is now tearing in a couple other spots. Not sure if it is out of adjustment or if there are some staples or something inside the area it slides into that are catching it and tearing it. Really worried about it down the road after the warranty is over. Hows your sofa?
