Hello CamJam1: I had A/C issues with my W22. An AC pro said pressures were correct /could find NO leaks. Conclusion- the seals in evaporator housing were leaking, needing replacing. I came up with one other possibility.
With control knob on A/C, outside air enters thru openings in the front of the evaporator in your engine compartment.
With control knob on A/C MAX, inside air recirculates from an opening in the evaporator under the dash passenger side. If the door controlling the air source is failing allowing outside air in when the control knob is in the A/C MAX position, that could be a problem. To test, I duct taped both air inlet vent openings on the front of the evaporator closed in the engine compartment to prevent any air from coming into the vehicle. I run the A/C control knob on A/C MAX all of the time. In the winter, when you turn the TEMP knob up to a warm temperature, the compressor will not come on. Something to consider. I did see an improvement.

Hello, sorry for the delay in responding.
I still tow the Focus ST. I've had no problems. It tows wonderfully.
Push Button start makes life easier because no steering lock. Only issue was aux brake. The cig lighters go off after a few minutes and fail to power the aux brakes. I bought a jump box and set it on the seat. This solved the problem.
