    Not sure I agree that the original comment concerning electric powered vehicles is answered by your link. I live in Pahrump and we are part of the CA grid. The latest update I received from Valley Electric (our Co-Op) stated to use what ever power you needed BEFORE 5pm (in case there was a need to curtail power distribution). Their list included, among other things, was to cool houses down to 72 degrees and recharge electric vehicles. I imagine if I was not retired and did not get home until 5p.m., that could pose a problem. But not, of course, for those who can't wait for the issue of power generation to be solved. Only a fool would say EVs will never happen -- but like the original post stated, we still have many issues to solve.
