Hey, glad you had a good trip. By the way, hopefully if all goes well, we'll be residents of CALIFORNIA, for only about 24-28 days more. Then, it's off to Havasu and into a brand new home with, an RV garage already built on to it. The RV garage is 53' long and 15.5' wide. I'm anxious as heck to get over there and start going on stuff. And, no, I've not even considered migrating to a residential fridge. Ours is not on the recall list and has worked flawlessly since we purchased the rig, almost 3 years ago. By the way, I just got a PM from ole' Ciderdog. Seems he's had short bout with an ABS matter. I told him of my thoughts on it and I think he thinks the same. We'll see. Take care, talk to ya soon.

From meldt - - - -A Google search for "Cumming 400 ISL overheating" seems to nail down a blown headgasket. Same Sisku mountains in Northern California, Similar 40K-plus milage, very similar symptoms. Seems the tow is inevitable, as will be the big repair bill.

Cumming 400 ISL overheating. I am faced with a $600 tow on Monday, plus repair. I am broke down on a Sat morning far from home, nothing open till monday. Can I just remove the thermostate to get to a Cummings dealer? Where is the thermostate located?

    Hey partner,
All is going well, thanks for the keeping tabs. I just finished a project on the coach that was fairly intence. I'm going to post it to the boys so if anyone else is having the same issue(s), I might be able to help. Hope all is going well with you.
