08-17-2022 07:04 AMNeverreadyHey Dutch.
Having a problem getting both ac to turn on at the same time. 2011 Dutch start 4032
Had both ac replaced with penguin 2 units with new control boards and 12 button thermostat. Only one ac will run at one time. I’ve tried numerous techs, called dometic, called Newmar and no one can solve this issue. It does not have an ems system in it as well. Im lost at this -
05-11-2022 12:41 PMYroseHi Dutch Master, We are missing zone 2. Bought a cable and cut the ends off and did black on left. We see no corrosion on any of the blocks, but I did clean them with alcohol and swab. Still no zone 2. I have a muti meter with needle points and tested the jumper I made from unit one powered on, nothing. Does this mean the com block on unit one?

10-04-2020 08:30 AMDunn InnWe are chasing down a missing zone 2 problem. Have seen several of your posts about the comm cable being the problem. My husband is in the middle of building a new cable to try to pin down the issue. Being an electrical engineer, he is wanting to know what the 4 wires of the comm cable are used for. Understand the black and red are for power. How about the yellow and green? Any help would be appreciate so I can stop trying to find this info. Thanks.

08-15-2020 11:05 AMDeepseaMy A/C was running good for about a week and then wee had this storm blow through yesterday. it was running even through and after the storm. I got up and was enjoying a cup of coffee and noticed it getting warmer and I looked at the thermostat and there was no power. I had a spare thermostat and plugged it in and still no power. I went up and looked at the comms cable that comes out of the circuit board and into to the new coupler I just replaced last week and it seems there was a short inside the coupler. One pin in the plug was fried and also the contact in the coupler?? I'm going to replace the cable from the circuit board and the coupler and see if it does it again. It didn't blow the 7.5 amp fuse in the fuse box and didn't trip any circuit breakers. I wonder if a drop of moisture got in there some how?? Any thoughts?
