Hello Mr. Webb. My response will seem random to you, just a complete stranger. Your recent post clicked a few familiar buttons with me. My dad was 18 in 1954, he also owned a whizzer bike, prides himself on his car rebuilding abilities, and today maintains a huge “library” of sailboat dreams. 😉 he has owned a few Tupperware boats, but no wooden boats. I have helped build a few boats in the 70s including a very nice all wood inc. gaff rig spars, WEST system 24’ hull.
Hope you don’t mind the gab from a bystander, Kevin.
When I was 13 (1954) my dad bought a Wizzer motor bile that needed some work. He taught me how to rebuild the entire bike. I used it to deliver papers. At 15 my first car was a 1946 Nash that needed an engine rebuild. Recently I bought another sailboat that needs some TLC. I found a complete set of videos on building the boat. It will make some of the work on it much easier. No trial and error to learn how it was assembled. Its a wooden boat.
