What a pisser. I feel a little better now. I had them flush everything and change the filters when they installed the new pump. Hopefully it will be OK, your issue sure made me nervous although I'm not totally at ease. Too bad it worked out the way it did for you, like you said, very expensive.
I'm in the process of changing my heater hoses. I started today removing all of the ty wraps along the frame rails and figuring out where the hoses go. I'm hoping I can put the old and new hoses together with a barbed hose connector and pull them through. We'll see!! I think the hose from the engine to the HH will be fairly straightforward. I will have 4 new hoses coming out of the engine compartment at the very least. I will post on the forum as it progresses. Take care and be safe, Terry
I'm glad you're up and running. It's nice when the repair shops have a space for customers, just so happens I've utilized a couple of them.
I'm pleased to know that WHP got the part to you that quickly. Did they charge you for the pump and shipping or are they gonna wait til they see if they're going to warranty it?
This is another good report about Redlands Truck and RV, they sound like a great place to do business with. It's nice that you were that close. Did AAA balk at you choosing a shop? I was wondering if they wanted you to use a closer place? I have Coach-Net, so far I'm very happy with them.
Have a good uneventful trip and I'm glad all is well. Oh yeah, we didn't make it to PS after all.
I am curious to see if they had a bad production run or you had a one of a kind problem. So far mine is as it should be, but I've only got a couple hundred miles on it.
