I understand you might be able to help me with my CD. I have a 08 Mountian Aire.
Mr CD has stopped working and I can't get it to wake up. I've tried both wake up procedures with no luck. I have looked for a blown fuse in the outside bay under the drivers seat. All fuses test good. It stopped working this December when we were on the road and made a stop. Turned the motor off and had some difficulty starting but did start. Arrived at our destination and stayed parked for 3 months. Traveled back home with out the CD working. When I got home I then tried the wake up procedures. I did have a issue with my solenoid not charging my house batteries while going down the road. Have replaced that solenoid. Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi Ken.

We just replaced our chassis batteries and as a result the Comfort Drive is no longer working. I have attempted both the wakeup procedure and the extended wakeup procedure to no avail. I am a bit concerned that I am not hearing a definite click when I turn the ignition on and off. However since my hearing isn't as great as it used to be, with all the other alarms and whistles going off, I might have overlooked it.

Would you have any idea where on the Ventana I might look for the fuse or plugin for the wiring to make sure those are working properly. Thanks for all the great content on the system. We absolutely love it.

    Hi Ken,

I had posted a topic in the FTL (Freightliner Chassis) about CD (Comfort Drive) and STP (Safe-T-Plus). Someone posted I should contact you, so

I have a FTL chassis with CD. The STP product was recommended to me by a service center.

Concerned that the STP system, while increasing the safety aspects of a front tire failure and such, may not be compatible with the CD feature.

Newmar told me to contact FTL. FTL responded that since this was not their system and could not 'officially' respond.

I called the STP company. The first levels of support had not heard of CD. The STP owner was familiar with CD, and said the two systems are compatible and work differently on different issues (the STP system would address sudden and dramatic issues such as front tire failure where CD no so much) which was the 'unofficial' feeling I got from FTL.

Thanks for any further comments you may have Ken.
