Hi
I just purchased a 1992 Fleetwood Tioga Montara and I was reading your threads about your restoration. Would you mind me sending you messages from time to time during my process.
LV,
I saw that you did a conversion from 19.5 to 22.5 wheels. I think I saw that you had custom wheels made.. Where did you have them made?
Thanks in advance,
I've been following your work with Sumo Springs on a light F53 chassis. I looked at photos on E Trailer and they seem to be different than what you installed. In particular, they don't seem to fasten to the axle, just to the frame rail which defeats part of the advantage of the Sumos.
The installation video on Etrailer, however, shows an installation with new brackets bolted to the frame and a bracket bolted to the top of the leaf spring.
I also have a 16,000 pound chassis. What is the part number of the kit you used on your front axle?
None of my business but why did you let go of that butifull Pure White HE?
I have no doubt that the Sumo got rid of the sway, roll and rebound all together. I just wonder... at the expense of seat comfort? Like most partcipant to the forum, I have a hard time figuring how these added component will not stiffen the ride somehow.
My point is that I will hardly have the time to experiment B4 my 7k miles trip to Alaska this summer. I want to make sure I got the right set up at the right price.
As stated earlier, I plan on doing the CHF , addind the steering dampener Safe-T-Plus and the softer Monroe shocks (unsure about the famous Koni FSD).
What do you objectivly make of it?
If not sold, would you accept a trade-in for an ordinary Vista 26HE (joke)
