I wrote to Winnebago. Still waiting for reply. If i thought I had a solid case, I would see an attorney, but as it stands, Winco paid for the mounting strap. Manchester sold me a new tank for $460. Do i think i was treated right? No, I do not. Everythign up to now (discovering the problem) is a sunk cost. After all is said and done, i will have about $800 bucks in it. Not good but not bad. MH was in storage a long time before I bought it from the widow. I knew there would be problems. I do not consider this a "normal" problem of wear and tear and non-use. I consider this a manufacturer defect. Sometimes you have to "fight the good fight", and walk away with what you can get. I have not given up, but unless i hear from Winny and can convince them to pay for labor or propane or something, it is what it is. Time to move on and not cry over spilled propane. I appreciate your concern and help.
