So, how did it go? Did you contact Custer? I re-read some of these old messages and had other ideas. My wife had a friend who worked at Old Faithful in Yellowstone. She was given a room (she has no RV) and a salary plus a break on meals. That might me an option for a single lady. We just returned from a month or so thru the west. Wyoming was windy and dry. N Dakota is just danged big and empty. Sort of a disappointing trip for our final western expedition. Hope you can do something exciting - life is too precious to just sit around and vegetate.
I saw your message about supplemental work. Suggest you contact Custer State Park in Custer South Dakota. They have dorms and/or RV sites. They pay pretty good for those who work the entrance stations, do cleaning etc, office work etc. Craig Pugesly is in charge of Visitor Services. We have worked there 2 seasons and would be there now except for health issues. It is likely they have all the staff for the current year but you could start paperwork for next season. We applied for Custer SP and had offers come in from all over S Dakota. BTW - They love it if you have an interest in the local history Good luck
