Installed the solenoid this morning and all seems to be working ok. We will be going out for a few days in a couple weeks so then I will be able to check and make sure all is ok. Thanks for all your help.

Your explanation of the charging system is exactly the way Xantrax explained it to me. My only ? is with my charger putting out around 14v in float how do i reduce the charge. Zantrac freedom can't be lowered thru the setting below 13.9. A friend of mine also has a freedom charger and his float charge is the same.
LouLong, The fuse that keeps blowing is in the BCC. It's F-1, 5amp,named BCC Power. I have a Big Boy battery isolator/relay # 77-90006-120 made by Intellitec. As soon as I install a new 5amp fuse, I hear a clunking noise, I then recheck the fuse only to see that it has blown. I'm very confident that you are going to solve my charging problems. Thanks.
