Yes both my wife and I have our pilots license. She has her private, I am IFR & commercial rated. We purchased a used instrument trainer Piper Cherokee PA28 (low wing, fixed prop, 140 hp with custom gap seals, flaring covers and modified wheel flairings - easy cruise @ 135 mph) that we used in our business. Several years ago, just before the down-turn in the economy, we sold our business (cash - thank you LORD!) and are now retired. Just after that, the company that originally did the modifications & STA's to our PA28 (call sign 35PA) contacted us and wanted to purchase the aircraft back at a price I just couldn't refuse. I think they are going to patent the mods and go commercial with a "speed kit" for the Cherokee line. So for now we are plane-less. I had 852 hrs in her with 100+ hrs IFR. I have other "toys" so for now it's just some weekend time with a buddy that has a 180.
