So sorry I didn't thank you much sooner for your reply to my Readybrute ?. I purchased the Readybrute set up and had a tow garage install it for me plus I went with the Blue Ox tow plate. I didn't have the breakaway installed but I think I can put that on myself. I see they ran the surge cable on the left side frame so I'll probably follow the same routing for the 2nd cable. The hard part is finding a good spot to mount the breakaway box? Hope you had a good time in northern Ontario. My wife and I will be on the road full time by May of this year. Thanks again for your help.
I'm looking to get the ready brute set up for my 2009 HHR. Is it much of a problem to run the cable to the brake pedal? I see you used a demco tow plate which looks like it's easier to mount than a Blue Ox. Did you also use the breakaway set up from readybrute?

This was a very long process as no one could figure out how to fix the tow lamp fail to stop. Finnaly after the third workhourse service center got it and more than 100 hours of phone time DSU in Portland Oregon fixed it. I would not give up. The fix was given by a Workhorse programer in South Africa. It works great now. They had to download from the programer and reinstall the software in my computer from scratch. That is how the miliage got reset I think. It was done about a year ago.
