Sorry for the delay. Actually I just saw this profile comment, LOL So much for my internet savvy. Yes, I bought it specifically with towing in mind. And yes, the adaptive cruise was a great surprise. Side note, I happened to buy a 2018 Chev Colorado Duramax

(I'm an oil burner nut) for my business last year. It has controls on the wheel very similar to the Equinox. I have to remember that I don't have the adaptive cruise when I drive it. The best trick I've found is getting behind a semi and then engapging the adaptive cruise set on the shortest gap setting. I've tested it following a semi down an off ramp and it kept the gap right to a stop. Following a semi I will get between 48-70mpg averaging in the low to mid 50's mostly. I ordered the front wheel drive because it allows me the flexability to tow it either all down, on a trailer or on a caddy. I still have access to a car caddy that my father used.
