    Tom,

As a recent owner of a new to me 33 GKE, I greatly appreciate all the helpful comments you’ve added to the board. I’m trying to relocate a series from another gentleman who had performed extensive work on his Excel. I’m not able to find it when I search. It was a thread from 2008 or so and had sections about rebuilding a slide, and a basement door. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thx,
    Spencer

You seem to be the go to guy for everything Excel, so I'm hoping you can help me. I just purchased a 1992 Excel Legacy that I will need to winterize in a month. What I have not been able to find is a WH bypass to allow me to pump antifreeze through the water lines. Any ideas where it would be or do you know of a way to install a bypass?

    Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving! We still have our 2012 Lance truck camper and manage to check in with Kay down in NM every week to see what bargains she has on consignment. Since April 2015 we have been managing a 191 site campground in central FL while we do eldercare for Sheila's parents. Mom passed away a year ago, but dad is as strong as ever. As soon as I kick a few health issues out of the way to get rid of a cataract (working outside), we plan on hitting the road again. When Brian migrated over to New Horizon's I see a few old Excel floorplans have shown up there. We have been talking with Cole about ordering us one of them. We hit the double nickel age this year and if working 100 hour weeks does not kill us, we will surely be glad to hit the road again. Excited to visit the NW coast areas we have only briefly passed through once or twice. I tried posting on your blog a couple of times, but it said your email address was no good, imagine that, LOL. Best, David & Sheila Knapp

    Hey there Tom,
I too have a 2011 42" Visio with vertical lines in it that started after a very rough trip. I could place my hands on the upper corners and torque the plastic frame and effect change in the vertical lines. This told me it was more of a mechanical than an electrical issue so I tore it apart. There were a series of ribbon cables running along the top of the tube. The metallic cover over these ribbons had rubbed the ribbons in places and caused them to short out. A close examination with a magnifying glass will allow you to see the issue. To resolve it I put a couple dabs of nail polish on the shorted areas. Wala it's fixed. I wished I had coated ALL the ribbons with nail polish as I have another vertical line a year later. Good Luck

Question. How would I find out the type of bedroom slide (which I'm having going in and out) in my 05 Excel limited

I read about replacing the gray tank in the 33 Excel and I have a problem with mine, but since Peterson is out of business I can't find one this size. Where did you find yours and what were your dimensions. Thanks

Excuse the poor grammar. I'm on a spotty state forest wifi (who would've thunk you'd get wifi in a state forest) and I keep getting knocked off between proofreading.....

    RockinTom,

Owner bought it from Kay Moriarty. He said he was told that it was actually a 2008 model on the 07 chassis; that at beginning of new model year, they still had chassis, from the 07 year but build the 2008 model on it.

visited Excel dealer today, I mentioned quality control issues being talked about-he said that Brian had laid off several last week, to correct that issue. Have you heard anything? We talked to Brian at the Tampa Show & he said he transferred Jack because he needed in the plant. Which brought another thought-I haven't seen Curtis Peterson mentioned in a long while??
