    I read your post about lubing rollers on battery tray. MY problem is the cable on the latch broke off the latch so the battery tray is locked CLOSED! Any thoughts on how to get to the latch? I really can't see the latch. I'm thinking about just taking every bolt out until the tray comes apart in it's component pieces.

    Ron,
    Yes I looked at both units and cost is the main factor,
    the Scan gauge D does show 4 different gauges at a time not just one.
    I also have a stand alone EGT and Boost gauge the takes it's readings direct
    and not from the ECM as neither of the units you ask about will give you a reading
    of EGT on most Cat's as they do not measure that.

    Must have me confused with someone else. I have a Safari 2005 since 2009. I did not or was not looking at a DS. I did have a 1998 Newmar Mountainaire the first time around and liked it very much.

    Bought the Safari in 2009 off of e-bay, it was a repo.

    When we had our 98 DSDP painted about 1 yr ago I bought those headlights from www.autopartswarehouse.com for $226. It did not include the amber turn signal or headlight bulbs.

    You are correct, the originals suck. These aftermarket ones aren't much better. We put Sylvania Silver Stars in them which helped a little. We hardly ever drive at nite.
    We hope this helps?

    was reading the posts about michelin tires and was wondering about the name of the Spokane dealer where you shopped. I travel through that city on a regular basis and was thinking they would be a good place to buy when I need new tires
    Thanks;

    Didn't think it would be proper to post it but the 10 sensor unit was 499.00. Free shipping and in May they are offering a 2 year full warrenty. After we talked a while Don gave me a 50.00 discount so my cost was 449.00 total. Felt satisfied. The only catch is the units won't be ready to ship until next Wednesday, 5/26. No problem for me though, I'm stationary for a while yet.
