We drive THROUGH Atlanta twice a year with our 40 foot Holiday Rambler Ambassador Class A DP and our 2000 Ford Explorer Toad making us 56 feet long. For some years earlier (we are on our 3rd Class A) we used to take the bypass. Now the bypass is full of large truck traffic and for the past 8 years we drive through Atlanta and for us it is easier than the Bypass. The trick is to not be in a hurry because there can be accidents and or slow downs from 30 miles before Atlanta, in Atlanta as well as after Atlanta no matter going north or south. Sunday is usually a good day but be prepared for slow downs and drive defensively. Your GPS or phone will give you good directions through Atlanta once you go past the Bypass exit. The road is marked with I-75 markings in the lanes as well as over head signs. Safe travels. Dick and Sandy
