Ok, I'll admit I don't know what I'm doing here but I've looked at the Winnebago thread and, as yet, haven't seen an answer to my question. My problem, at this point, is getting the original tv out of the steel box so I can proceed with the installation of the new flatscreen. It's all loose - the bolts are both out of the bracket but the tv will not come out of the hole. There are no wires still connected but it is a glove fit. I'm afraid that the strap across the top is screwed to the tv in some way and I have yet to make the tv move enough to get it out of the cage. Help

smlranger, you mentioned a tech sheet on the cold solder joint for the VDC. I too started having the same problem on my 1999 XC. Would you send me your document to tylerlindsey@yahoo.com? Thanks, Tyler

Don, sounds like you had a great time. We will be heading to Myrtle Beach in late April....some of DW's family will be there in a condo so we're going to meet up with them; will be at RV park near them. On the way home, I've got an appointment at Gaffney for some service on the chassis....need a lot done at 7 years $$$$$$$$$$$$.

The CW service manager called me this AM. He was most apologetic and almost begged me to bring the coach back and let him supervise corrections. He is refunding all of the installation fees as a goodwill gesture. I secured a copy of the install directions from Dometic and CW did not follow those.

I've agreed to bring the coach back but with the stipulation that I am allowed to watch the mechanics and agree to anything they want to do. The manager agreed and said he would replace the entire awning if anything is damaged or otherwise not to my satisfaction. We will see.

    Gary,

Just got back from Perry Sunday. This is the first time I've logged into irv2 since the new website. I've been trying to get my password reset, which I think I've finally done.

Met a lot of good folks in Perry. Petro, DriVer, depchief, and of course Jestme13. Steve is a real character, but ya gotta like him. Don and Bev were great, along with Beau. All the spouses were nice. Good food too! Mike was helpful to me for my business, introducing me to the SMI guy. Everyone had a good time.

Sorry to hear about your CW experience. It sounds kinda typical of them these days. Our shop is not a flat rate shop, so the techs aren't pressured to get the job done quickly.

Sorry we missed you in Perry. I don't think I'll be going to Ohio. The timing was good for me to sneak out for a couple weeks to do Perry and FL. We're having an open house this weekend, to try to kick the season off early this year. Wish us luck.

    Don

In recent months, we decided to get our 2002 Journey painted. We bought this coach used in 2005 and had planned to ‘trade-up’ by now. However, giving more careful thought to our financial future, combined with the fact that we really love the coach, we decided to keep the beast.

I must admit that when we traveled to Rockford, IL to purchase this one-owner, well-maintained coach, I lusted for all the new rigs on the dealer lot that had full body paint. The previous owner of our coach...
