Goodmorning. You have been so helpful in the past and was wondering if you had any sources for a water temp gauge for a 1999 National Tradewinds. I called my dealer and they are putting in an inquiry directly to Freightliner.

I have photos on my desktop...similar to this but for coolant temp.

Hey another quick note, Dick have you added anything to your suspension or undercarriage in general, in order to modify the handling. Such as shocks, heavier sway bar, motion control unit, super steer air valves, or a new bell crank with bearings in it.

Well, Dick I wanted to let you know that I was just looking through your photo albums at all the work that you have done on your motorhome. It is amazing! Makes me wonder what you have not gone through. I know now that if there is any questions that I have on mine, a very good resource for information would be you. And by the way, how long have you owned your motorhome and how many miles do you have on it. I especially love your ceiling light box that you have put up.

Well I'll talk to you later, Dick have a great day

Hey Dick, this is Dale Robinson Myrtle Creek Oregon, I would like to pick your brain on some information regarding my motorhome. We are new to the motor homing and am learning the hard way. I see on this form that you are extremely knowledgeable and have a very similar tradewinds. And I had asked you about repairing the gaskets in my Windows and you had mentioned I could park in your driveway and the guy would come to us there and do it. I plan on taking you up on that, but until then I do have a few other problems. Right now I'm going to have to look closely at a vinyl roof replacement . It's getting late and we are starting to have dinner now, so I will be contacting you further and picking your brain. Hope to become besties. I'm a friendly guy that's fairly mechanically inclined, but have neck injury and could do very little for myself anymore. But I'm looking forward to getting with you and would love to have the information that you so gladly appear to share.

    Thanks you,

    Hey Dick,
We're in Portland at the moment. We are experiencing a leak out of the Fridge ice maker waterline ( up the back of the fridge). Is there a water cutoff for just the fridge. Can't find anything at the fridge and have cut off all the water supply and releived the pressure in the lines. I could really use your help before I open up the water compartment. I don't recall seeing any valves in there the last time I had the cover off. I just remember it's tight in there.

    Hello,

We, RV Dreamer, spoke with you via this forum a while ago and would like to ask you a few questions.

    1. Does your outside glass handle on your National RV light up? If so, does the outside porch switch turn it on or if not, which one does?

    2. We have a problem with our R air gauge. It jumps from 130 to 0 and the buzzer goes off. We had an RV shop swap the sensor and the R gauge still acts up. They say it could be the gauge. Can this be possible?

    3. We have a book that shows us where the fuel and water separator is and the picture doesn't show you where it is located. Found one that has a thumb screw in the bottom of it, can that be it?

    4. Where can get a fuel filler hose? Ours is cracked.

We appreciate your time and help and hope you can assist us. If not, do you know someone we can communicate with?

    Thanks,
    RV Dreamer

Not exactly sure yet. We are just east of Sacramento for a few days visiting with Bill's brother. We plan on heading east by the end of the week. Don't really know how long it will take. The trip coming accross had lots of extra stopover days. We just plan on stopping in the pm, then hearding on so I'm not sure. It will depend on the mountains I guess.

Bill is going to call you tomorrow about the cooling system on the RV. We overheated coming up the mountains into Cedar City Utah. He's concerned about continuing on without some advice.
