I made a similar 200 watt portable last year. I removed the Zamp plug from the side of the trailer, and finagled enough wire out to do the following mod;
I cut the Zamp wire, drilled a 1 inch hole in the storage compartment floor above the wiring, ran some # 6 wire(or #8, can't recall) up into the compartment, mounted the controller to the wall of the compartment, connected the wire from the plug to the controller, ran # 6 or #8 back to the wires going through the floor to the batteries. After pushing all the wire back into the hole in the floor, I dressed everything up with some left over wire loom used for telephone wiring. The portable panes are connected by 40 feet of Renogy cable and connectors so the panels can be moved quite a ways .
I didn't want another hole in the outside of the trailer-the Zamp plug is slated for up to 200 watts and seems to work fine. Hope this helps.
