Dawn is taking a well deserved retreat with the ladies from church. So I loaded up the girls and we headed over to Joe Wheeler State Park for the night.
Our short drive of just over an hour, was long enough for Mary, Elise, and Nora to read, draw, and enjoy the comfort of the Palazzo living space. I was able to get the feel of our latest camper on the road. Alice, our youngest at 16 mo.'s, was able to get in a little nap.

Shipments are starting to roll in for repairs and living space. We received our Progressive Industries surge protector and our collapsible ottoman yesterday.
We decided to go with the Progressive Industries (PI) EMS-PT50C, ordered from Amazon Marketplace. There are probably 10,000 posts on iRV2 going through pro's and con's of hardwired verses portable. There may be some slight edge to hard wired from a unit failure perspective, but only slight. PI, in majority of comments, stands...

Man... even newer motorhomes are a lot of work. Sometimes I wonder if I should just buy brand new. Then I read posts where even new owners have to have work done. A house is house. Something wasn't done right by somebody that will need to be addressed.
So far, I have addressed really minor things.
So far, I have addressed really minor things.
- Adjusted the tension on the generator cover so it does not rattle.
- Super lubed the front toilet seal so the bowl will hold water
- Removed and reinstalled the stairs cap so it does

On Friday 3/27, we traded in our 2001 Allegro Bus for a 2013 Palazzo. Our Tiffin was a great camper for my family, but we needed more. More sleeping space to be specific. The introduction of more affordable entry level DP's over that past couple of years also meant we could get something newer. Something with more current technology installed.
I searched for over a year. We finally came across a deal we could swing. You would be surprised how few of these coaches are available...

After our Easter weekend trip we were all set to take the RV back for the final pre-delivery item repairs (a month after delivery). We were going to be going on a RV-less week long vacation which was planned prior to the MH acquisition, so it would be a perfect time to be without it. Then on 4/27 northern AL as a whole was altered. 300+ tornado's descended on the state, a handful being F4-F5 monsters. We were spared damage, however, our whole county was without power for a week. Huntsville...
