    Hi Jeff,

I just stumbled onto this conversation we started right before the pandemic. We ended up leaving Richmond 6/2/20 which was only one month later than planned. We are so fortunate to be living this lifestyle. The pandemic has not impacted us at all and we have seen so many beautiful places and met so many wonderful people. Don’t listen to the ‘news’, if you can even call it that anymore. You can check out our adventures through ‘take a moment RV’ on Instagram and Facebook. Hope you and your family are doing well and safe travels.

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for answering. Yes, we went through the basics several times, first my wife then me. We even put in a new needle.

What I have observed is that the top thread will wrap around the bobbin about half way around and then disengage from the hook that's supposed to carry it around the bobbin to create the stitch. That leaves the thread stretched across the bobbin carrier, clearly visible.
The needle moves up, but the stitch is not complete. The next needle strokes repeat that and we end up with a big snarl under the fabric. The machine stalls or the thread breaks.

We had been using the machine, and really liked how well it worked until it stopped, just when we needed it, of course.

Does any of this make sense to you?

    Tom

Thanks Jeff. She is being stored at NIRVC in Atlanta as we live in Richmond, VA and didn’t want to bring her here and have to winterize her. We bought her in early Dec and will see her in person for the first time in a few weeks. We pick her up the end of March and bring her to Richmond for a month to load her up and head out full time on May 2nd. First stop will be Livingston, TX where we will domicile and then head out for the Pacific NW, probably stopping along the way in Yosemite, Tahoe and Crater Lake. After that anywhere is fair game. Cannot wait to dive in head first to this amazing lifestyle.

    Cheers,
    Russ
