"Lakeland" refers to "Lakeland Ford". They are widely known among Ford enthusiasts for not only apparently having a huge warehouse of OEM parts but a nice parts-finding website available for use by the general public. It's been often found that they might have a part when no other dealer in the country seems to.

I don't see how running a generator would affect anything myself. There is no return on them, they are set up to be basically a straw in a soda.

Pumps can and do overheat. It's widely known that people who tend to drive around all the time with only a minimum amount of fuel in their tanks can expect shorter fuel pump life than folks who tend to keep their fuel tanks at least half full. This is a very long term effect though.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for letting me know.
The cutoffs arrived pretty quickly, IIRC. I think the Carpentry Shop was all the way aft near the fantail and the Captain's Bridge was at the front of the island 7 or 8 levels above the flight deck. It was a routine request for them so I imagine they were anticipating the call.

Thanks again, I wasn't able to do anything on the coach today, maybe tomorrow. I did find a drawing of the plugs and what approximate readings should be so I'll give it a try with voltmeter. The drawing I have is on a Spartan Chassis and I'm guessing the Medallion is wired the same as my HR gauges. So anyway the saga continues.

    Hi Myron!

I have a 2008 Diplomat SFT and would love for you to send the files you have on various aspects of your coach. I bought from the original owner a few years back and he did not do any of his own maintenance or repairs. I have done many many upgrades and repairs and I really enjoy it.....most of the time. Much thanks to this forum for helping me find and troubleshoot many issues.

I don't see that I have a BIRD system but I do have the trombetta with the white and purple wire that was bad when I bought the coach. After replacing it it worked fine for 1 1/2 years and now it isn't charging off the alternator again. It seems intermittent and when its not working, I have no DC power to either the purple or white wire even though I know the chassis batteries are full charged.

Thank you so much and my email is tgidoug@msn.com
