Gasoline & Batteries & Stupidity
Read this in the RV Travel Newsletter -
A Nelson, BC carnival worker watched his motorhome go up in smoke after cleaning his battery terminals with gasoline. On reconnecting the terminals an electric spark ignited gas fumes. No injuries.

Ok, the only SAFE THING TO USE IF YOU CLEAN you batteries is baking soda and a water mixture. It removes the light coating of acid from the top of the batteries, and removes any corrosion on the terminals. It also has a cleaning component which removes crud.

Don't be stupid, if you don't know what or how to do a task on an RV please hire a professional.

If you can find a product Neutra-Clean by Ramsey Group. We use it commercially on forklift batteries. You spray on let it sit for a minute or two and rinse with water. No white residue.
HVAC supply houses normally carry Ramsey Group products if someone is interested.
Heavy corrosion you may need a bristle brush.

If " Common Sence " was truly Common, then everyone would have it !:thumb:
