watkins glen to pease bridge

Been staying in WG and been considering routes to Pease Bridge into Canada in a 39' DP. Although not the shortest route (the shortest routes entail narrow, winding and extremely hilly roads)I've been looking at taking 14 up the west side of Seneca Lake to Geneva and then 20/Alt 20 to the south Buffalo area. Anyone driven these roads and can give me an idea of what their like.I'd rather enjoy the drive rather than the quickest possible. Thanks!

I don't know about 14 up the lake but 20/5 is a decent flat road small towns parallels 90 not hard to find a gas station 20a is farther to the south more hills twists and turns small towns.
How about 17/86 to 16 north to 400 north a lot less crossroads/stops and still mostly flat

I assume you meant the Peace Bridge?
It's been years but I seem to recall a low underpass on Alt 20 (check the internet for low bridge locations). US 20, however, should be fine. Take it to I90 west and then around to 190 (exit 9) for the bridge, or continue on US 20/130 through the city traffic if you prefer.

Yeah, by all means take that route, it's beauiful. We do it in our 42 pulling our Jeep. Scenery is great and the uphill grade is gradual and very, very scenic. One lane almost the whole way and you'll question your decision a couple of times but stay with it. Watch the road signs and your map though to be sure you stay on route. We go up 390 to 90 however to take the Lewiston / Queenston entry into Canada so I can't coment past there. Very nice drive for us though. By the way, if you're using the Peace Bridge to come to Canada you might want to consider 190 to the bridge(s) I mentioned. You cross Grand Island and the Niagara Gorge into Canada .... breathtaking.
