AC low speed fan quit
2003 Jayco, Coleman Mach model 8335B8914 low speed fan will not work, high speed does work. I read some post and checked the wall thermostat by getting current between the ground and both the high speed wire and low speed when activating switch. I have checked the fan motor by disconnecting and getting resistance between the common and both the high speed and low speed wires. No infinity and no zero resistance. And there is no grounding with any of the three wires. What am is missing? The compressor will come on in the low speed fan mode, but the fan will not.

A lot of Colemans have wiring plugs/connections in the return air box above the filter grill. I had the same problem with the low fan not working and it was a bad connection on the terminal board above the filter.

I looked at those connection in the return air, but only unpluged the multi plug going to the upper unit a couple of times. I did not unplug the six or so individual slide clamps from the thermostat. I will try that, however, when checking the thermostat, I was able to hear the relays clicking when flipped the thermostat fan switch and assumed they were ok. I probably need to do that again and get on top and see if 110 volts is getting to the motor.

I was looking at that manual while working on AC. However it is limited somewhat by only a unit mounted control shown in manual and not wall mount. But that is where I got info on checking motor leads. I am not sure I can check capacitor though. Could that be the problem, or would the high speed not work if the capacitor was bad?

Low speed Coleman Mach 15K
All lines back to stat read good. Measured 12 at HIGH speed terminal and low speed was ZERO volts. Replaced with another AIRXCELL stat and solved my problem. Check for 12 volts at H & L at the:) outputs of the stat. CHEERS...!!
