Leaking Radiator Drain

I have a 2008 Fleetwood Terra XL with the Workhorse chassis and the 8.2 engine. I reciently had the coolant changed and discovered after being parked for two months it had lost 1 1/2 gallons of coolant. The loss came from a small leak in the radiator drain on the lower driver's side. It's plastic with a square tab like part protruding rather than a hex or square head. It has a small drain tube attached. I'm guessing a bad o ring but I'm not sure if I should twist or pull this tab. If it requires a twist which way is open and which is closed? I'm tempted to just plug the drain tube and forget it but any advice would be great.

Sounds to me that who ever changed the radiator fluid did not tighten the drain plug enough. Tighten it about 1/4 turn and watch it for about 3 minutes to see if it is still dripping, if so tighten it another 1/4 turn and so on.

I'd guess based of many other radiators having plastic drains...it screws in and out..and has right hand threads. I have never seen a push/pull drain on a radiator.

Don't just plug the hose and expect it to hold. Murphy's Law will dictate that attempt at a repair will fail at the most inopportune time.
