Glad you found this site. There are a lot of knowledgeable RVers here that should be able to answer most all questions.

Great work !!!! Glad we are all together.
Just finished a 2,000 trip to Branson MO for the veterans week celebration. Super event if you've never been. Look forward to suggestions on our Palazzo's. I did have an opportunity to watch a dealer winterize all their inventory (to include Palazzo's). Don't believe the manual we were given has the right information. Was a simple process. I'll send out what I saw when I can get my head together. |
Will be an owner after the new year... either the 33.2 or 33.3. Can you guys/gals pm me with your experience with the Palazzo as far as QC is concerned. Im a pretty handy guy and not afraid to get my hands dirty... the dealer will be my last resort as far as fixing things... of course when it comes to like bad hydraulics or a bad inverter... etc, that is different. Can I also ask what you paid for your Palazzo so I can get a feel for what is reasonable negotiating price... I hear that 25% off msrp is doable.... thanks for the feedback and Happy Holidays.

Our Palazzo is our 2nd rv. Our first was a Jayco clacc c. 180 difference in dealing with Thor vs Jayco.
We've had your normal issue with the Palazzo but nothing out of the ordinary. We had to have a slide adjusted. That was the only major issue. Everything we've found has been corrected by the dealer. Having a good, responsive, knowledgeable dealer is a must. As far as cost. Your figure (-25%) is a little high. We had a trade-in so my cost may be different from others. |

A major factor is how well you inspect it before taking delivery. I had a very lengthy checklist and still missed a few things. Also I think I was fortunate that I had a very patient and knowledgeable tech with me who spent several hours with me and took care of some issues immediately. If you have prior experience with motorhomes that will be a big plus; I am a total newbie and would have been lost if I had not been studying the manuals and getting valuable information from this forum. Since I brought it home and have been on three short camping trips we have found a few more things needing attention but nothing that needs to go back to the dealer. If you read everything on this and any other forums about the Palazzo you will have a wealth of information on what things to look for on your pre-buy. One thing that is easy to miss is a careful check of the slide seals all the way around when the slide is out. |
