James Island Holiday
Spending the Christmas holiday week at James Island SC which has become a family ritual for the past 4 years. The lights and park facilities are great and have met many fantistic camping friends, does anyone else camp here during the Holiday season?:greetings10:

Haven't been there but it sounds like fun. Hope you have a great trip.

Yes, we stayed there a few years ago during the Christmas season on the way home from Disney World (and other times too). The lights were beautiful. It is a wonderful park.

Very nice park, it was about a month ago we stopped. We stayed an extra day, night so we could catch the test lighting of all the lights impressive!!

We are going for a couple days in June on the way to Myrtle Beach. I hear they have a small water park there.

We stayed in nearby Oak Plantation last month. Took a daytime trip to James Island in the toad...with our bikes on the back. The lights were already put up for the evening ooh-aah drive-thru crowds. Nice park, especially for kids and dogs. Asked about staying there...were told they were full.

We've stayed there a few times and the light show is worth the stop. If I remember correctly---it's a 3 mile drive-through display. On top of that there is a train that drives through the woods so you can see even more lights.

The yule log is burning and the merry-go-round is there for the younger folks.

Very nice!

Pictures do not do it justice . They have millions of lights , display after display 3 miles worth. Like I said we got in on the test lighting, during the season they charge ( I think $12 a car) and they are lined up for miles.
