Magic bed extended tracks
I am new to your Forum which is very informative to read, my question is as seniors My wife doesn't like climbing in the bed, anybody ever heard of having a welder or metal fabricator able to extend the tracks so the bed can come down to the couch cushion's level, that way during the night less chance of falling. Another question, anybody using those scan gauges or ultra gauges to monitor all engine functions. I thank you in advance. We have a 2003 Trek 26.5 foot and loving it, as this is my first post I'm not to sure about doing this post

Hi Jerry! I've never heard of anything like you are describing. Our bed has the storage area underneath so there would be no way to make it go any lower.
What about the possibility of building a 2-step stool with nice wide steps to keep beside the bed ? It could be covered with carpet to make it look better and be more comfortable to step on. Just a thought... Good luck, happy trails, and God bless! :thumb::D |
Howdy Jerry and welcome. :wavey: I'm having difficulty picturing exactly what you mean since I'm not familiar with the Trek. Could you possibly post a picture for us? Good luck and we're happy to have you here.

Welcome to IRV2. I'll move this to the Monaco forum. Hopefully a Trek owner can assist.

Also welcome to the forum. Jerry, You might try to find out who made the bed rail system and call them to see if they have different lengths. I doubt that Monaco made those. I would also google and see if there are any Trek owners clubs that might have more knowledgeable folks on matters of the Trek. Bob |
When we go to Florida next month I'll be thinking about opening the couch moving my recliner chair and making some kind of steps as suggested by Bob and Pam thanks for the quick reply

Jerry, welcome to the forum. I've been in a Trek and was amazed in the bed mechanism. It's been several years but anything is possible with enough money and engineering.
