Question about using jacks
I have been wondering if you using hydrolic jacks on motorhomes that have air bags may be damaging them. When you lift the motorhome are you suspending the axles by the air bags and couldn't that damage them?
I know that you can lift the motorhome up until the wheels are off of the ground and that would be a tremendous load for air bags to handle. Can someone please explain where I am going wrong? John at RanchoT@msn.com 1997 Beaver Cat 300 hp:angel: |

On most coaches with air bags, you deflate them prior extending the jacks. In my case, I have a dump button on my HWH control panel that I push until the bags deflate, then I extend the jacks to level/stabilize my coach. If you provide the manufacturer of your jack system I am sure there is a member here that can guide you thru the correct method to use your jacks. Good luck.:thumb: |
