Just put a deposit on an 02 Windsor, need advice on selling my 2000 Diplomat

I'd like to sell my 2000 Diplomat myself, as I've done so much work to it, wood floor etc.
Any advice from others that have sold a coach?
How about any lessons learned with consignment?
Any other suggestions?

Never done a consignment, but sold 2 RV's and a boat and tons of other items on craigslist. Make sure you take plenty of pictures, stage the MH to look it's best, write a great discription of everything, price it within a margin to others that are like yours, be willing to take best offer, be willing to send many more pictures if asked. Also understand that because you did the work to your tastes, it may not be for everyone. Be patient and the right buyer will come.

The longest it took me to sell an RV or Boat was 1 week and I made a profit each time.

Way too many people price their RV based on what they owe. You can see many ads that are priced way too high. Don't price your RV similar to those. What I found successful is to price it very competitively or people won't even come look at it or ask for additional information/pictures.

If the price is similar to other lower priced units, the one that sells is the one with added features and documented service history. Being able to show when the tires, batteries, and roof AC units were replaced can make a sale.

KCSAILS.....Many people are looking for nice used RV's, especially ones that have been well taken care of. After the flood of people that dumped their coaches in 08/09 because of the market, coaches went cheap and took quite awhile to sell. Now you have the opposite. You have many brands that went of business and companies that quit making a ton of DP's to sit on dealer lots. Now there seems to be a shortage.

Our friends had an 04 Diplomat that he kept immaculate. He found an 06 Diplomat and bought it. He was able to sell the 04 in two weeks (Oregon). As Les said, as long as you're realistic on price, it will move.
