Alumalite x-fer switch location?
Good afternoon. New to the site and did a search, but no answer. I just bought a 1991 H.R. Alumalite 34' and cant find the transfer switch. Theres a a/c selecter switch for a 30 amp shore line connection next to the breaker box. But generator wont power interior, only 1 roofair. So im assuming theres a x-fer switch, man/auto not sure, but cant find it anywhere! Anyone with any info would be nice!

My 94 Alumilite didn't have a transfer switch, you had to plug the cord back into a plug in the electrical compartment. My 98 Itasca Class A was the same way until I installed a transfer box along with my surge protector.

HHmmmm....might be the reason!?!? I'll check the stow compartment for a receptacle was full of leaves and debris when I got it....never thought to check! This ride is super nice enough to start getting some needed upgrades!

FOUND IT! Went to a local RV place and asked....not much help other than he said it would be really close to where the shore line went in, or the generator or the breaker box....hhmmm. No plug in the shore line compartment to plug back into, so I looked with determination and finally reached around behind the breaker box and felt another box on the back side of the board. Then I found that the floor in the closet above it was removable. Took all the screws out, opened the lid and there it was! Still not sure what is wrong with it, but at least I have a place to start now!!
