hydro boost fluid
 

Might seem like a dumb question but I have a 1992 Fleetwood bounder 28T with the F53 ford chassis 460 CI engine. I have having trouble with a LOUD grown in the power steering pump only during the COLD winder camping while up snowmobiling. I want to bleed the entire hydro boost system and am trying to figure out how to do that but need to know what fluid to use. I hear TYPE F transmission fluid from some and others say only use power steering fluid. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.

My system uses Mercron III power steering fluid. Yours probably uses the same, but it should say on the reservoir or cap or the user manual (as poor as they are). :welcome:

thanks for the reply. Local autoparts shop says atf type F, on the fluid add location is says use power steering fluid as shown in manual. Manual doesn't seem to say. I am guessing any will work. Thanks for the warm welcome. thanks for your time. Still confused.
