Help! Strange sized y-pipe needed for septic??
I just can't find this y-pipe for the septic... it's a 3" elbow with a 2" part coming off it for the grey tank. The flange for the grey is very cracked and won't seal up.
Only one I've found has a 1.5" grey part: VALTERRA T1036 - Valterra Collector 3x3x1-1/2 T1036 - RV Plus Been to the three RV places around here and none have this part. One place said it was because my rig was from the 80's and "they don't do it like that anymore"... ... So... what am I supposed to do here? https://www.irv2.com/attachments/phot...13e6ee65aa.jpg |
If you can't find a 3x3x2 you may have to cut the 2" line back toward the gray tank, install the new 3x3x1-1/2 as shown, with new blade valve, then connect up the old 2" to the new 1-1/2" with a reducing coupling. It may slightly reduce the flow rate on your gray drain, but there's nothing in the gray that should clog on the reducer.

Replace the elbow with one that has two 3" legs. Put a 3" valves on the new leg. Use a reducer to match the 3" coming off the valve to the 2" line coming from the tank. That will prevent flow reduction.

Try RV Products & Accessories If all else fails there are rubber connectors that can be used.

I really dislike that you can't edit a post, The link above has your part.

Where did you find the part? I see only the 3x3x1.5 on this page: RV Products & Accessories
We called Valterra and they do not manufacture a 3x3x2 unfortunately. |
