Hello everyone!
Greetings one and all! My wife and i recently purchased our first RV! We purchased a 2014 ACE 29.2. So... Any and all suggestions are more than welcome!!! I do have one question. Are slideout supports needed/recommened or dies it really matter?

Joe, Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your MH. Nice choice. Looked at them and I liked them, but my wife won't drive an A so we ordered the C.

Not sure what you mean by supports for slideout. Are you talking about outside or locking for traveling?

Howdy and welcome! :wavey: Generally speaking, supports are not recommended for slideouts. If your RV should settle with the support in place, the slide could be damaged. Most late model RVs have sufficient built-in reinforcement to easily support the slides they are designed with.

Thank you all so very much! John I was referring to outside(sorry). Yes my wife and i are very excited!

Makes complete sense Sarah.

I've never seen any one use them.

Do not use a slide-out support.

It doesn't help (I tried one) and some day you will forget it is there and damage your slide-out.

Same here, no supports. If the coach settles, they often do, the supports could put undo stress upward on the slide.
