Progress on 2004 Fleetwood floor remodel
After many bumps and ostacles we are homing in on maybe laying some tile by next week. Doing this ourselves for approx $1700 rather than paying $7000 for a dealer to do it. Our first mistake was trying to raise the floor to meet even with the laminate that existed in the kitchen and entry amd tile over it. When we got it built up to level the living room slide would not operate with the floor at that level. Then we did our second demo which included taking up the laminate and subfloor under it. That was the worst. Had to chisel the subfloor off inch by inch. New subfloor is going down now and about 1/2 way completed. Hoping to have no more issues with that living area slide. The other three work just fine. Attached is a picture of the flooring we choose which is Mannington deluxe vinyl. I am excited to get started on laying it down. Going to make the coach look a lot bigger and stay cleaner with 2 black labs for sure. Will post pics when the job is completed.

Great work!
I ran into the same challenge when I tried to bring my living room floor up to the level of the kitchen floor to give a "nose to tail" all one level look. The carpet that was there had a lot more give to it than the Allure tile I put down. rick |
Rick do you have any suggestions on where to stay around Phoenix/Tempe? We are headed that way 1st of January. We have family in Tempe and friends in Chandler and Surprise.

I wish I could be of more help but, until we bought a stick house here, we always stayed at a park near our grandkids out in Buckeye... and you don't want to be out there. Hopefully someone else who uses the parks around here will chime in. Rick |
