Hello, all. I am the proud owner of a 1978 Holiday Rambler 24 Foot Class C 25th Anniversary Model. It is the Premier 5000 edition. It has 23,000 original miles on it and a grand total of 200 hours on the generator. We have been camping and rv-ing as long as I can remember and have a love for vintage units. As a hobby, I refurbish vintage rv's including a 1966 Kenskill, a 1967 Field and Stream, a 1976 Toyota Odyssey motorhome, and now the HR. My wife and I recently retired so we plan on doing some traveling and camping in the HR once it is refurbished to our satisfaction. Since it is 36 years old and even though it has low miles, it has experienced the harshness of summers and winters and needed some cosmetic assistance.

So far, I have replaced the original water heater, installed new window coverings and overhead bunk queen mattress. I removed the original carpet from the galley area, replacing it with a vinyl tile and removed the small drop leaf table between the barrel chairs replacing it with a beautiful Duraflame faux fireplace. It has had a thorough bumper to bumper systems check at a reputable rv repair shop. I have attached some photos. I LOVE the quality of these units. I guess that is why it is still "Ramblin"

Welcome to the forums, as a child of the 80's I need to say this. So you gonna hit the Oregon Trail? (Every school child in the 80's played this on either a Commodore 64, Unisys or if their school district wasn't in Canada an Apple.

If I won the lottery there are a few vintage rigs on my must have list, an old Rambler or Midas, an old Brave or Chieftain, an Ultravan, trying to think of the name of the Dodge Class A, a GMC motorhome, and a few others. Trying to think of the name of the metal-body Class A I also liked. I'd of course want a vintage stream, the Long Long Trailer, etc.

Your unit has vintage colours, but not garish vintage colours (I want a Palmdale with the green and white interior on my GMC Motorhome). Hopefully the modern conveniences will blend right in with the vintage including a minimum of an 80" LED HDTV :)

Welcome to IRV2.

Welcome to the forum. Recently moved from Salem to Boise, ID. Rving here in Virginia since September to be with our Army son and family. We head back to Boise after New Years. Your vintage rig is awesome. Before this rig we had a 85 33' Chieftan. It was in excellent shape with only 38K. In some ways wished we would have kept it. Vintage rigs are so nostalgic and cozy. Thanks for sharing.
