Tire monitoring

I do realize this subject is brought up many times and will have various oppinions, and I did search this but was unable to find much current info. I have three questions and appreciate in advance any help.

#1- Is TST still the most desired brand ?

#2-Would you reccomend 100% flow through sensors, flow throughs on the RV and capped on the toad, or any other combitnation ?? BTW- I do realize flow throughs have replacable betteries.

#3- Where to purchase ?

Sorry again for repeating questions and thanks for all advice.

1. It's what I have - there may be a slight preference for it from what I've seen. I just started with it and have had wonderful service so when I bought a new one, I stayed with them.

2. That's what I have. Lost a cover for the batteries and they sent me a new one at no charge. (I probably clipped a curb.)

3. I bought direct. Didn't buy the repeater and had to go back and order one.

A thread began yesterday here on this very subject . . . seems like pretty good info . . . you may want to review your options:

The cap style (non flow through) also have batteries for the TST 507s. I ordered all cap style because wanted a lower profile and was worried about too tight of fit.

Oh cool, I didn't realize that.

I have TST. With flow through on the rears and non flow through on the front (due to wheel cover clearance). My only problem with the flow through is they restrict the air flow making it slow to air up the tire. If I had a do over I would probably not go with flow through. It's not that big a deal to unscrew off the sensor to adjust the tire pressure. This is if you do not use the locking mechanism of course.

I have the 510 system and did NOT have to purchase the repeater.

Our last rig had "Smart Tire". Loved it. Measured PSI and Temp. Perfect. But Smart Tire no longer supports RV and non-commercial applications. We need an alternative.

I have the TST, love it. Have the non-flow thru, had one that was letting air leak thru, replaced with no questions. Great customer service

I use the TST 507 flow through on the RV and Caps on the toad.

If you go to their sight https://tsttruck.com you will see that they have some good deals going on at this time.

If your coach is over 33 feet long, I'd recommend that you get the repeater.

I have had good results. We have caught low pressure due to a leaking extension as well as overheating on my toad's tires due to the breaking system having been set too sensitive. Therefore, I feel that they have definitely saved me for more than the cost of the system.

I have the TST system on my Aspire and it works well once you get it debugged. By debugging I mean adding a repeater in the right place. I found one of the factory valve xtenders didn't have a long enough needle valve to work with the sensor. There is some experimentation on setting the high and low pressure limits on the display panel. I had to use two of the nonflow thru sensors on the steer axle wheels because with the reverse wheel and stems they stuck out too far. It takes several trips to tweak it where it performs like you want.

Sorry for the dirty wheel pic, it was all I had on my iPad.
