Heading to Oregon
We will be traveling to Redmond, Ore. for the fmca rally in August. We are coming from Calif., heading up I-5 to Grants Pass for a few days. What would you recommend as far as cutting across on the 234, 62 or is better heading up to the 126 and cutting across there. We are in a 34' class A. Thanks for the help.:dance:

I have been on both those routes and 126 is a bit better road with wider safety lanes. If you take 234 the better route is 234, 62, 230, 138, 97. 62 south (and 62 in general) of Crater Lake is narrow. If you elect to take 62 and cut through Crater Lake National Park to 138 make sure to overnight in the park. It is a big climb to the top with switchbacks and you may as well linger and bit enjoy the scenery and your efforts getting there.

Definitely go through Crater Lake. Always worth the visit! I've done it in our 40'DP the reverse way (from Redmond down to I-5) and it's not a bad drive at all.
