Which brake pads do you use?
I will be replacing the OEM pads on my 2004 Sierra 2500HD, which have gone 60,000 miles. I'm looking to improve the braking performance while towing our new Bayhill 340K. Reviews on the web say to use premium semi-metallic, and I'm interested in what fellow RV owners use.
Our f250 came with a ceramic based pad.
Replaced at 165000 miles with new ones because of mileage and relacements on sale.
Not much difference except the glazing.
Rotors did not need any work either.
They were factory so rotor may be different so check first.
Ceramic. They're quieter than semi-metallic and not as hard on rotors. The downside is that they're generally more expensive. But you're not likely to be replacing rotors very often with ceramics, so in the long run they're really cheaper.
