Hi Rail,
The truck has been running good, thanks (knock on wood). It has been chilly for a couple days, but now supposed to be in the upper 70's to low 80's for the next week. So I would say the weather is Great!

Tom, glad you got a break in the weather, and got a lot done! It will not last long, be my guess? I hauled to the casino's in the north part and U.P. of Michigan, and know how quickly the weather can change in the winter up there!!
By the way, the coffee was tasting very good this morning! Even with drinking the de-caf that I have to drink because of the treatments I am going thru! Will be glad to get to drink real coffee again! Rail!
P.S. Still no Bap?

Franka548 12-03-2014 07:23 AM

Morning all,
Good coffee this morning along with the beautiful weather. Rail , glad to hear that everything is going well with your treatments.

Yes coffee tastes good this mornng. Well every morning if the truth be known. Bit later getting to the forum this morning. Had a set of new tires installed on the truck. Tires were original from 1999 with 95,000 miles.

Harley1994 12-03-2014 10:12 AM

I'm certainly glad to hear good news all around, doesn't seem to be enough of that sometimes, most of us have something to be thankful for, me, I'm glad every morning when my feet hit the floor. Gordon you got your money out of those tires, must be the cold weather too frozen to wear out :nonono:.

guardrail53 12-04-2014 01:32 AM

Good morning all! Yes, the treatments are going great, no Ill affects so far,. half way done!
Wow, Gordon, you sure got your money out of those tires!:thumb: You know you can't add all the miles the truck rides in your trailer?:whistling::rofl:! Glad everyone is safe and warm!
Bap, Where are you?:whistling: Rail!

Not yet drinking coffee... But soon as I get up (it just fnished brewing) Have been up for an hour and a quarter.

Gordon Dewald 12-04-2014 10:15 AM

Good Morning. Well almost good evening for someone who was up almost before the sun went down!!

Yes I those tires do not owe me any money. (No - this is not the truck that rides in the trailer - these are the original tires on a 99 F150). They still had lots of tread and only slight cracking on the sidewalls. Inside did not show any issues. Just thought it was time to change. Was waffling on keeping the truck. It has become our going to the dump truck and my occasional going to get hardware so I figured the old tires may not last much longer and I do not want to deal with potential issues. (I keep looking out to see if the new tires are all still inflated - talk about paranoia = LOL). So far may observation is the old tires seemed to have better traction.

Harley1994 12-04-2014 11:18 AM

Gordon, the reason the old tires had more traction is they were experienced

Gordon Dewald 12-04-2014 11:45 AM

LOL - I was thinking it could be the preservative on the tires - same as bikes. After 100 miles will be better.
