Well Sir,
Congrats on your new toy. One of the first things you need to do, in my opinion is, really get to know your machine. And that means, go over the owners manual, if you have one. Now, while pretty good material, those manuals many times, don't cover some vital info. But, go through it anyways. One very important point to learn is, your CHARGING SYSTEMS.

I emphasize those because, they are a topic of discussion, on an hourly basis here on this site and other RV forums. There's lots of folks that simply buy a coach and don't bother taking the time to learn how it works. If you learn even some basics, you'll be better equipped to help yourself analyze things when you think something is not working correctly.

If it's a gas coach, it more than likely has a "converter" or, a CONVERTER/CHARGER on board. If you don't know, or, are unsure, a converter/charger simply does two things. 1, it "converts" 120VAC to, 12VDC for use in your coaches appliances, lights, furnace, water pump and more. The second part of it's operation is a "charger". That means it should be charging your house batteries, while you're plugged into shore power and or, while the generator is running.

But, it may, or, may not, also charge the chassis batteries. This is precisely why I say LEARN YOUR VEHICLE!! And while you can ask on here about your coach to folks that maybe might have a coach like yours only a year off or so, what they have on theirs, quite possibly will not be on yours. It all depends on the factory and how things were wired.

Learn your plumbing. I say this because there are a few, very few, that have the black tank improperly plumbed. It fills when showers are taken and dishes are done. Not very many but, it's happened to some. Anyway, those are just a few things to really get to know on your new coach. The more you study and learn about your coach, the more confident you are in it's operation and, the easier it is for you to tell when things aren't right. Good luck and have fun,
Scott
