6 way vehicle to 4 way flat tow dolly
I am unable to get the tail-marker lights to come on. Winnebago has only one wire going to 6 way tail-marker prong. But shouldn't that activate both tail marker lights.I took the 6 way round to 4 way flat adapter apart and the color codes match up to dolly connections, all single wire. The only difference is Acme runs a brown wire to both right and left dolly lights. They go into flat at prong just above ground. The dolly 4 way flat works just fine on Tundra. What is going on? Thanks

Did you check the plug on the camper with a light tester to see if all the lights are working at the differant prongs?

Yes, I ran a light test probe on all prongs with the tester grounded to dolly and all worked.

Is the problem with the trailer lights? The single brown wire should power all tail lights. Maybe a bad ground?

Just want to make sure I understand. You plugged the dolly into your Tundra and the lights work fine. You plug it into the coach and the dolly tail lights don't work. You used a tester on the coach and the pins test OK.

Is the adapter used with the Tundra as well? I suspect the adapter or its contact with the pins in the coach plug. Sounds like the dolly itself is fine.

I had a plug go bad on me and it was difficult to figure out. Can you open the adapter with it plugged into the coach and check the pin voltage internally to the adapter?

Is this a new installation or has it worked in the past.

If your Winnebago is like mine with separate brake and tail lights, you will need on of these adapters.

The 4 ways are like the diagram except 2 browns to 1. Pins check out. The adapter is only for MH. I took it back to CW and had them check it out against new one. Continuity seemed fine. Six way round seems to an odd duck on MH. I am considering stepping the MH down to 4 way flat since I have brakes on dolly. Or go to the 5 way as pictured. Thanks

I have separate tail and directional, but the 7 pin already has them corrected for the trailer. Not sure how you transmit the separate signal through the 7 pin because standard 7 pin wiring doesn't allow for it.

Do you have the coach wiring diagram?
