Surprised no has chimed in yet.

In 2009 Monaco was on the down slide and on the verge of bankruptcy. We visited the Monaco factory in Eugene Oregon in 2009 and the although they were still trying to produce most of the lines were idle. Only a handful of workers and my guess is that people were doing jobs they didn't normally do. From what I've heard they put together coaches with whatever they had on hand.

Pay attention to detail. See how things fit together. Test every component to make sure it works. If possible ask the PO what repairs they had done. Get a copy of the build or data sheet and check some of the main components to make sure they match what is on the sheet. Engine, transmission, generator.

Even though the coach doesn't have a lot of miles check the maintenance records. Service intervals are both in time and miles. 15,000 miles is only one oil change but they should have been done annually even if it's not driven. Transmission is ~3 year interval. I would get oil samples from engine transmission and generator to make sure there are no problems. It might pay to have a professional inspect it.

Getting a professional RV inspector to go over the coach is a must do. They are not that expensive relative to the cost of the MH. ($200) I would also look at the dates of the tires and their condition.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the tips.DDRV has the coach and are going thru it.I did a test drive and found a few things that need fixed before we buy(has p/steering noise and a noise at steady speeds, goes away when letting off the accelerator pedal)Did a good look at everything so we made the list.
