Allison transmission dip stick

On my 2008 Monaco dynasty I have a 3000 Allison transmission that I want to check the fluid to see the color but as I undid the dip stick I see there is no dip stick attached to check. I don't know if they just do not come with the long dip stick or if mine just came loose and fell into the tranny. Anyone had this problem and if so how did you get it out of the hole that goes to the tranny?

Mine also has the "fake" dipstick. Has a tag on it that says to use dipstick under access hatch in rear bath. Yep. There it is.

My 2008 dynasty has the dipstick under the floor by rear closet.

Good to use to check color but remember not to use the dipstick to check the level. Always use the shifter key pad to check for proper level. The dipsticks are not accurate.

Allison transmission dip stick

I found the dip stick when I opened the floor hatch in the bedroom and thanks so much guys for the info. Yes I do know to check the fluid level with the selector pad and when I did look at the fluid I could not tell the real color on the dip stick but when a drip fell on a piece of paper it looked nice and red and did not smell burnt. I have only had the coach for 3 years and it has 30,000 miles and I have not did any tranny service on it and I do not know what the previous owner had done. I was told by the salesman that I bought it from that the synthetic fluid would be good for 75,000 miles. Hard to believe that so any other info is welcomed.

Send a sample to Blackstone.
You can sleep better "knowing"

I'd send a sample to JG Lubricants, Tom actually wrote the spec. for the TES 295 fluids before he retired from Allison and has the experience to tell what you have.
