Lincoln MKX as a Dinghy??

We have a 2015 Cadillac SRX. As most of you know the replacement for the SRX, the new Cadillac XT5 is not towable. We are considering the Lincoln MKX and would appreciate any advice or concerns with this SUV as a dinghy.

1. The dinghy towing guides show the 2017 MKX as being towable. Any concerns about tow bars, tow lights, performance or comfort?

2. Does anyone know if the 2018 Lincoln MKX is towable?

Thanks,

Rex

Towing 2016 MKX. Works wonderful. Very easy to put in tow mode. I understand if you get "lane control" on them blue ox doesn't make a tow plate. At least they didn't six months ago. Do a search on it. I believe guy was able to make one work. Good luck

safe travels

I don't think it is lane control, I think it is Adaptive Cruise Control that Blu-Ox says won't work with their baseplate. But I know MKX owners who say it is easy to move the cruise control radar sensor to make it work. The Roadmaster baseplate does not have this limitation, but in my opinion doesn't look as nice as the Blue-Ox.
