Where to buy new batteries
Anyone have good suggestions on where to get new house batteries for my RV? I have 2 12V batteries. Trying to find the best deal with high amp hour reserves for boondocking with generator but no solar. Thanks in advance!

Best bet is 2-6V golf cart battys connected in series to get 12V
Sams Club or Costco have good prices. See the following link for more detail why... https://marinehowto.com/what-is-a-deep-cycle-battery/ |
We just made the switch last weekend from two 12 volt deep cycle batteries to two 6 volt deep cycle batteries in our current RV and couldn't be happier after our latest four days of boondocking at the lake.
We bought the GC2 (Golf Cart Item# 850284) batteries from Costco for $93 each. |
We were happy with batteries from “Batteries and Bulbs”

We upgraded to AGM's in 2016 and went with VMAX batteries due to their price and performance. We've been happy with them. We have a solar model (SLR100), but that's not a requirement. Golf cart batteries were not a good option for us due to limited compartment space and no desire to make modifications.

Solar biz had the best price on Trojan 105 battery's, I paid a $35 pick up fee and picked them up at a Trojan Master Distributor, thus no shipping and as we were in Arizona no tax and No core as I wanted to keep my old batteries for other purposes so it worked out good , they were from a fresh pallet just received. You can give the girls a call and see what is close to you.

I like Batteries plus Bulbs for RV batteries, great pricing and a good company to deal with. Order online and pick up at the store of your choice.

As mentioned above, if you have room, consider 4 6v golf cart batteries - AGM if budget allows.
I have 8 Interstate Extreme Cycle 6v golf cart batteries (Costco should carry these or be able to get them) in mine that work quite well. Trojans are excellent as well. |

Have since went to AGM's and won't go back to wet cells. Last were expensive from Batteries +, but came with a 5yr full replacement warranty in 2016 so we'll see. Have noticed some very good prices lately at our local RURAL KING store, if you should have access to one of those or maybe for ordering online. I went with the four 12's and because that was OEM, but four 6's would probably have been better. |

My local Costco's don't handle and can't get the 4-8D batteries my rig takes. New Lifeline's are $625 each, uninstalled and at 163#'s each I need a helper or two.
